Abraham Lincoln Might Not Be Who You Thought He Was – Andrew Speno

Friday, March 14th, former FOX 25 reporter and investigator Andrew Speno, joined us to talk about Abraham Lincoln – a man who research shows isn’t the man history has painted for us. Andrew has been studying Lincoln – among other topics – for several years. He explained that Lincoln was not the abolitionist history paints him to be. Old Abe didn’t really care about freeing slaves as much as he didn’t want southern states succeeding from the Union. Yick. Definitely not a good look for ‘honest’ Abe…

Not only is that a pretty gross deal, but even worse was how Lincoln treated other people during the war! He was supposed to be a Republican, but, as Speno tells us, Lincoln was the guy who started the practice of ‘lawfare’ – siccing the law on your political enemies without a legal reason to do so!

Truly, this was a fascinating interview and one we don’t see very often. One that questions current political history. Speno has been doing research on a number of OTHER historically propagandized individuals – such as Hellen Keller – and we’ll be having him back on in upcoming months to give us a chance to allow new information to change our historical worldview, so STAY TUNED!
