Three New Substack Articles That Simply Must Be Read!

Sadly, I rarely have time anymore to do the research and writing I once had time to do. If you’re interested in writing and/or reasearching, for God sakes DO NOT START A PODCAST! It’s shocking how much time a twice-weekly show can take up!

Instead, let me make sure you have links to three MUST READ articles for this weekend, but also the links to numerous Substacks that you simply MUST put on your list to check out daily. Substack is great in that you can follow authors and when they release an article, it pops up in your app. Yes, I suggest you download the Substack app, but you can also be notified of new articles via email – which is great, if like me – you feel your phone filling up beyond manageable proportions with apps!

Please read V1SUT’s newest piece Past Speaker McCall Puts Gov Ambitions Over Kids: Grand Jury Petitioner Arrested Twice after Naming McCall & Others. Charles McCall is running for Governor. This is very important information regarding someone who speaks campaign rhetoric about protecting children and families. You need to follow V1SUT on Substack and on our podcast, where Katy will be subbing for me again – this time during my knee replacement – the 22nd to October 3 (or so!)!

Highway Robbery: How the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Exploits Drivers and Squanders Millions is the latest from Amy Cerato’s substack. Amy is a professor of Engineering at OU. She has also been forefront (along with our friends and frequent podcast guests Whitney Mullica and Kelly Wilson) in the PikeOffOTA group, writing and researching about the Oklahoma Transportation Authority. This particular article is a must-read, but it is also a necessity that you sign up for Amy’s Substack, as she regularly produces excellent, timely and well-researched information all Oklahoman’s should know.

Amy has another Substack article coming out on the 8th, that you won’t want to miss that promises to show where the ‘extra’ toll funds are going. I don’t think any of us want to miss those revelations – as long as we have trash cans nearby in the event we have to be sick…

Ramblings of a Domesticated Warrior is another Substack to which you should subscribe. Here again, excellent writing combined with truth and news you definitely won’t hear on the drive-by-fake Media. Their newest post is The Chamber’s Puppets: Exposing Oklahoma’s So-Called Republicans. This article has a questionnaire you can give to prospective candidates for office in 2026, that is short and sweet, but gets right down to the nitty-gritty, exposing whether or not they are tyrannists, or Constitutionalists, group thinkers/one world government fans, or individualists. So many candidate questionnaires tire out – not only the candidate – but the person reading. This is awesome. Please download the survey and give it to ALL the candidates you’re able to!

The Sooner Sentinel – for the libertarians/small government lovers in all of us.

Straight Up – by Tulsa reporter David Arnett, has lots of good information about Tulsa, but also Oklahoma in general.

The Oklahoma Lion – another really great Substack with local, political news.

The Oklahoma State Capitol – a Substack written by former Oklahoma State Representative Jason Murphey, The Oklahoma State Capitol covers exactly what it says it does – the people and legislation coming out of our Capitol. It’s a MUST read for the real scoop on what’s going on where Oklahoma laws are imposed upon We The People.

I also follow a Substack written by a Democrat, called GenXpletives. She writes about politics and important topics with a liberal bend, but she is an exceedingly honest writer that doesn’t hiss, or name call, or act like a leftist. She and I have had some really excellent conversations based on some of her articles because we definitely intersect on thoughts and topics. If you want to read what an honest liberal thinks, I suggest GenXpletives. And remember – we don’t have to give up our core belief system to agree with someone who doesn’t think exactly like us. In fact, the more we converse, the more we find out we have in common and it’s the common ground that is important. Don’t refuse to read something just because the person you’re reading doesn’t have your political bend.

And so, there you are. I know a lot of people who say to me that they would read more, but they don’t know what to read. Now you know! Representative Jim Shaw Announces ‘Save Oklahoma Plan’ Endorsed By 21 Liberty-Minded Organizations In Oklahoma

We The People are over it.

I mean, seriously OVER IT. Our tax dollars are stolen from us and then used for everything from giving tax incentives to PRIVATE COMPANIES like OG&E (yet our electric bills keep going up) and Google (so they can keep trying to put data centers in our backyards) to backing each other up to keep an abusive husband – Representative Ty Burns – from having to suffer the same consequences any of us We The People would in that same situation, to preventing We The People’s choice for House Representative in District 32 (the author of “the plan”) from hearing any of the bills he proposed to solve the issues We The People elected him to solve.

Please, PLEASE don’t talk about Oklahoma like it’s a red state. It’s not. Certainly, our AG (who’s literally told a We The People to take a hike with her petition and that he doesn’t care if nobody votes for him) Gentner Drummond (and then commenced sentencing and adjudication of Rep Burns to misdemeanors in less than one day because he didn’t think Burns’ attempt to gouge his wife’s eyes out rose to the level of a serious crime).

Pause. Let’s watch the video of gubernatorial hopeful Drummond telling a voter he’s “not a politician, I’m a grown ass adult” and “I don’t have to have your vote“:

That was fun wasn’t it! Sounds like a representative of We The People, huh? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Well, today, We The People guy, Representative Jim Shaw, released what he’s calling his “Save Oklahoma Plan” – a plan to which 21 liberty-minded organizations – including this one! – have signed on to promote because we believe it will help bring liberty to Oklahoma’s We The People. You can see his announcement on X below (if you’re not following Shaw, take a second to do that before you go on…).

Shaw’s plan encompasses 7 points:

Fight the Green Agenda
Prohibit agricultural use of biosolid waste (human poop)
Criminalize hostile foreign ownership of (Oklahoma) land
Mandatory E-Verify for all Oklahoma businesses
End perpetual toll roads and expose the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority
Stop discrimination based on vaccination status
End taxpayer funded lobbying

Just to be clear: these are all things that many of our Republican lawmakers in Oklahoma have told us they – like We The People – want, but when push comes to shove and a good bill is authored, it’s either not heard in committee, or when brought to the floor, these lawmakers VOTE WITH THE CHAMBER, or whatever lobbying arm is funding their campaigns.

THIS HAS TO STOP.

We so appreciate Jim Shaw’s stalwart leadership and those of us who have endorsed this plan will be working hard to make sure it all comes to fruition in 2026 – the year of MANY ELECTIONS!

Trenton Rippey With Young Americans For Liberty Pushes Principles Over Politics

Wednesday morning, Michael and I welcomed Trenton Rippey of Young Americans for Liberty to the program. We had a great conversation – not only about what YAL does – but about what we should all be doing if we’re going to turn American around from the brink of economic and social destruction. You can find the entire interview on our Rumble and YouTube channels. I definitely suggest watching the entire interview and then passing it on to young people you know.

It was so great to listen to someone younger talk about the problems they are seeing in the country, what they are doing to try and solve those and how important it is to involve others in changing the system.

In the clip below, Trenton talks about how sometimes, all younger people need is to know there are people out there who think like them. Because college campuses are usually bastions of unfree thought that propagandize leftist ideals, it helps for young, conservative people to find a community of likeminded people and YAL can be that.

He also talks about the fact that his generation is finally realizing that no one (human) person is coming to save them and that they have to do it themselves.

In the clip below, Trenton talks about how hard it is to find out about true economic liberty – the free market economy – on college campuses because of the way it’s taught – or should I say ISN’T taught.

It was great to have Trenton on and to hear him talk about the power of following principles over politics – that saving the country isn’t Red or Blue, it’s about the principles of liberty.

In the first video above, he also talks about how YAL members aren’t accepting compromise on liberty issues anymore. For examples, property taxes are WRONG according to the Constitution of the US and the ideals of our Founders, and so are income taxes. They don’t want a percentage reduction in either tax – they want them abolished period. And who doesn’t really, it’s just that we’ve been putting up for too long with the idea that we have to compromise to get what we want.

Trenton makes us remember that our elected officials are not Kings and Queens to be genuflected to with a kiss on their ring. Elected officials are elected TO WORK FOR THE PEOPLE – to be SERVANTS of the people – not corporations with well-funded lobbyists.

Again, it was refreshing to hear a younger person understand the principles of liberty and have a desire to see those expressed – the way they should be – in our government of The People, by The People and for The People! Help a young person get connected to YAL TODAY!

According To Grok, Oklahoma’s Tax Credits Are Not, “publicly available in a straightforward way”

As many of you know, I’ve been hammering away for years about the massive number of tax credits/incentives our Oklahoma legislature is giving away so we can become a “Top 10 State” – whatever the heck that means. I’m not really sure, frankly, and according to the ways in which Governor Stitt is incentivizing businesses, it would be very hard to determine.

Look at Canoo, for example, and the Denmark deal for ‘green’ energy? How did Canoo’s bankruptcy help Oklahomans? How are deals brokered with other countries really going to help Oklahoma businesses, or help Oklahomans afford to be able to buy things from Oklahoma businesses to keep them going?

Recently, I decided to try and decipher all the tax incentives Oklahoma actually offers, so I started doing some basic internet searches. I always ended up back at the Oklahoma Commerce Department. On the website they do have a page for Business Incentives. On this page, you’ll actually find – make sure you’re sitting down – a SIXTY PAGE booklet that describes all the tax credits Oklahoma provides select businesses.

I say “select” businesses because do not forget – tax incentives don’t help ALL Oklahoma businesses, only SOME businesses – only those businesses that the Governor and his team ‘select’. And also don’t forget – the government only has the money they take out of our pockets – We The People are its only source of funding.

Because I think you might be interested, I’ve uploaded the booklet below so you can see it for yourself. There are SIXTY-SEVEN ways in which our Oklahoma government STEALS money from “We The People” and then redistributes it to ‘select/preferred’ businesses. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been offered even ONE way to get out of paying my income or the tax on the home I’ve paid for but the government could take if I don’t provide them a yearly check (aka property tax/ad valorem taxes). I guess I’m not a ‘select/preferred’ citizen.

So now you have an idea of how many tax incentives Oklahoma has for private businesses.

How much money would you say we spend on those tax incentives? Well…here comes GROK.

I’m a writer/researcher. I don’t like data centers and I don’t love the idea of AI, HOWEVER, it certainly does come in handy when search results are not forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time. Consequently, I asked GROK today, “What is the amount of money paid by the state of Oklahoma in tax incentives in 2024?” I’m posting GROK’s answer below.

I’m looking into the user’s request about Oklahoma’s tax incentives in 2024. It’s a specific figure, so I’ll check official state sources or financial reports first.

What Is The Oklahoma State Income Tax In 2025?

The search shows Oklahoma offers various incentives like the Quality Jobs Program and film tax credits. Still, there’s no single total for all incentives paid in 2024.
It seems the state doesn’t publish a unified report summing up all incentives for that year. That explains why I can’t find a direct figure.
I’m thinking I need to dig deeper, maybe checking annual reports from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce or Tax Commission for more details.

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce website doesn’t have the info on their homepage. I’ll try searching for a specific report or section next.
Just found a document called “2024-OKLAHOMA-BUSINESS-INCENTIVES-AND-TAX-GUIDE.pdf” that might help. Let’s check if it has the total for tax incentives paid in 2024.

Hmm, the PDF doesn’t directly provide the total tax incentives paid in 2024 either. It seems to be a guide on available incentives rather than a report on expenditures.
From the web search, budget documents mention FY24 totals, like $12.8 billion, but that’s the overall budget, not tax incentives House Approves.
Another result talks about grocery tax elimination, reducing revenue by $418 million annually, but that’s a cut, not the total incentives paid Fiscal Year 2025.
The Oklahoma Tax Commission has publications, but no “2024 tax incentives report” is listed. Still, there’s a “2024 Summary of Tax Legislation” that might have details on incentive changes.

From the fifth web search, there’s a document titled “2024LegislativeUpdate.pdf” on the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s site. It might be the summary we’re after.

The “2024 Legislative Update” mentions the Parental Choice Tax Credit Act, but no total for 2024 tax incentives is given. It does say the OTC must publish monthly updates on payments claimed each year, though.
I’ve exhausted several avenues and can’t find a single figure for Oklahoma’s total tax incentives paid in 2024. I think it’s safe to say this info isn’t publicly available in a straightforward way.

And so, there you go. Oklahomans have no idea how much of their hard-earned dollars are going to fund business incentives in the state.

We do know, however, that Governor Stitt AND A WHOLE LOT OF HIS STAFF went to PARIS for the Paris airshow this year where they announced three new business deals; Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (I wrote about the 1.7 million dollars Oklahoma has given this HUGE publicly-traded defense giant, you should check it out), Dawn Aerospace (which is apparently working out a deal with Oklahoma Commerce and the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority (OSIDA), but Subsidy tracker has no idea what and it’s not found anywhere for public eyes according to GROK) and MST Manufacturing (which has so far received apparent COVID bailout dollars in the amount of $130,000, but doesn’t appear to be taking tax dollars for this new venture).

But it doesn’t stop there, my friend and amazing researcher herself, Nancy McDaniel collected the number of pieces of tax incentive legislation that were brought to the capitol this year. The list is SHOCKING. The ones below PASSED this last session:

SB44 (2025) Rader/Fetgatter – SALES TAX EXEMPTIONS to contractors with a tax exempt entity.

SB119 (2025) Green/Archer – REBATES for hydrogen industry.

SB234 (2025) Rader/Lepak – 50% TAX CREDIT for remodeling old buildings for rentals.

SB235 (2025) Pugh/Kerbs – Grow Your Own Educator GRANT program.

SB239 (2025) Wingard – This bill TRIED to repeal Oklahoma statute O.S. 68 (2021) Section 2357.32A which relates to TAX CREDITS on the sale of electricity generated by zero-emission facilities. There were two years remaining. The Senate Revenue and tax committee voted 5 to 5, a tie, therefore considered the measure as failed and the TAX CREDITS continue for 2 more years.

SB249 (2025) Thompson, K/Townley – Extends the expiration date for TAX INCENTIVES provided by the Oklahoma Tourism Development Act to January 1, 2032.

SB287 (2025) Pugh/Miller -TAX CREDITS for aerospace industry.

SB324 (2025) Thompson, K/Hill – TAX CREDITS for research and development with no specific industry named.

SB469 (2025) Boles/Woods – Oklahoma Emission Reduction Technology REBATE Program.

SB578 (2025) Coleman/Kelley – Quality Events Act – Extends GRANTS for 5 MORE years.

SB663 (2025) Pugh/Hill – The Workforce Coordination Revolving Fund may be used to create a workforce data integration system as well as provide GRANTS for critical workforce needs.

SB687 (2025) Hall/Caldwell, T – Broadband SALES TAX REBATE PROGRAM.

SB688 (2025) Hall/Hilbert – EXEMPTIONS OF AD VALORUM TAXES for payroll for manufacturing aerospace equipment.

SB713 (2025) Jech/Newton – TAX INCREASE FOR THE PEOPLE via bonds. A county can issue revenue bonds to purchase light mitigating technology for EXISTING windmills that do not currently have the technology. (If the windmill private companies are to pay for NEW wind turbines to have these lights, then they should also pay for THEIR EXISTING wind turbines to have them NOT tax the people through bonds).

SB987 (2025) Thompson, K/Osburn – Creates the Oklahoma Department of Commerce Board consisting of 9 voting members. The board must meet within 60 days of its creation, may create working groups to help carry out its responsibilities, and may accept GIFTS, GRANTS and DONATIONS from NON-GOVERNMENTAL SOURCES. (ARE THESE FROM LOBBYISTS???)

SB998 (2025) Green/Caldwell, T – Allows a utility to start recovering work-in-progress expenses prior to the commercial operation of a new, or newly expanded, natural gas facility. The Commission is required to permit a SPECIAL RATE for the recovery of such expenses. (the customers get screwed again with utility rate increases).

SB1150 (2025) Hall/Caldwell, T – Appropriates $15,000,000.00 from the PREP Fund to the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics for the construction or upgrades to a primary commercial airport. There is a $15,000,000.00 impact to the state budget. (who exactly is benefiting from this?)

SB1438 (2025) Patzkowski/Kern – Rural Economic Development GRANTS. Raises the cap, from $150,000 to $350,0000, on certain Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) grants administered by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board.

HB1571 (2025) Lawson/Gollihare – Removes the expiration date for the Route 66 Commission who is responsible for funds awarding of GRANT funding for projects on the historic highway Route 66.

HB1727 (2025) Moore/Pugh – College SCHOLARSHIPS only for public teachers’ kids.

HB2019 (2025) Pae/Pugh – A TAX CREDIT for aerospace industry extended to 2032.

HB2260 (2025) Miller/Haste – Establishes 3 TAX CREDITS for civil engineers and their employers beginning tax year 2026. Qualified engineering businesses that employ a civil engineer will receive a TAX CREDIT equal to 5% of the compensation paid to an engineer until January 1, 2031, or 10% if the engineer graduated from an Oklahoma college or university. The TAX CREDIT is capped at $12,500 per employee, per year, and may claimed for up to 5 years. An employer can also CLAIM ANOTHER TAX CREDIT for up to 50% of the tuition reimbursed to an employee for up to 4 years of employment until January 1, 2031. Additionally, the engineer hired is eligible for a TAX CREDIT of $5000 per year, for up to 5 years until January 1, 2031.

HB2402 (2025) – Fetgatter/Murdock – INCOME TAX ABATEMENT for manufacturing of electricity from low grade heat.

HB2407 (2025) Fetgatter/Coleman – Oklahoma “Main Street” GRANT program.

HB2645 (2025) Hilbert/Paxton – HB2645 provides a $20,000 INCOME TAX CREDIT for doctors that practice medicine in a rural area for up to four years. A rural area is considered a city or town with a population of less than 25,000 that is at least 25 miles from the nearest city or town with a population greater than 25,000. The TAX CREDIT is available beginning tax year 2026 and is limited to $1 million in total claims each year.

HB2753 (2025) Caldwell, T/Howard – TAX CREDITS for Rural Jobs Act.

HB2767 (2025) Caldwell, T/Hall – Transfers $255 million to the ROA-25 Revolving Fund which was created to support industrial projects. The program is part of the Reindustrialize Oklahoma Act run by the Dept of Commerce to incentivize manufacturing companies to invest in Oklahoma.

HB2768 (2025) Caldwell, T/Hall – AMENDS the EXISTING Oklahoma Quality Jobs Incentive Leverage Act by increasing the maximum allowable investment for qualified establishments to $700,000,000.

HB2778 (2025) Caldwell, T/Hall – Creates the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Program, which exempts household income from being factored in when determining eligibility for the Child Care Subsidy Program for employees of child care facilities.

HB2781 (2025) Caldwell, T/Hall – Creates the Reindustrialize Oklahoma Act (ROA-25) investment REBATE PROGRAM. The program will be administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (ODOC), run through July 1, 2045, and provide rebate payments to a manufacturing establishment that makes a capital expenditures investment of at least $2 billion in the state and creates 700 or more new direct jobs by year one of the rebate period. By year two, the jobs threshold is increased to 1000 and will remain so for the remainder of the rebate period. The establishment must also meet the program requirements under the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program

HB2792 (2025) Caldwell, T/Hall – Makes changes to the Progressing Rural Economic Prosperity Fund to create a revolving fund and reappropriates to projects funds that were originally appropriated in 2022; a continuation of funds as several projects still have on-going expenses. The amounts for those projects are:

SB119 (2025) Green/Archer – Creates an investment REBATE program for investments on property for the purpose of refining, manufacturing, and processing compounds or elements into hydrogen-based products. (NO senate floor vote).

SB236 (2025) Haste – Establishes an INCOME TAX CREDIT for employers required to comply with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements. Individual claims for the credit shall not exceed $50,000.00. The credit may be carried forward for a period of 5 years. NO vote in senate rev/tax committee.

SB241 (2025) Thompson, K – Appropriates $20 million from the General Revenue Fund to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to provide a REBATE for capital investments in an establishment that refines, manufactures, or processes compounds or elements into hydrogen-based products. NO appropriations committee vote.

SB271 (2025) Rader – A repeat of HB2305 above. (Did not get a senate committee vote). Creates the Oklahoma Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Act. The measure stipulates that passive receivers of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) providing essential services shall NOT be civilly liable to the state for costs associated with the release of PFAS to the environment. NO senate energy committee vote.

SB820 (2025) Boren/Gise – Amends the Oklahoma Five Major Sports Leagues REBATE Program Act which expands eligibility to the Womens Nat’l Basketball Association, Womens Professional Fastpitch and National Womens Soccer League. This Act provides a REBATE PROGRAM similiar to the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program with a maximum annual rebate of $10 MILLION per qualifying entity or establishment. NO house floor vote.

SB938 (2025) Kirt – Creates the Municipal Workforce Housing Development GRANT PROGRAM within the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency to provide financial assistance to municipalities for the purpose of increasing the availability of workforce housing. NO senate ecomonic development committee vote.

SB1501 (2024) Paxton – Income tax credit for geothermal. (NO senate floor vote).

HB2305 (2024) Rader/Pfeiffer – Oklahoma PFAS Act which said receivers of PFAS shall NOT BE LIABLE for the release into the environment. Also, that Oklahoma will accept other states’ PFAS. Oklahoma is not a toxic waste dump site! (Died in conference committee 5/30/24).

HB1848 (2025) Thompson, K/Schreiber – Committee substitute grants a TAX CREDIT to employers that provides a childcare subsidy to its employees or operates a childcare facility for its employees. The credit is equal to 30 percent of the subsidy amount or operating cost, limited to $30,000 per employer. The credit may be claimed for tax year 2026 through 2030 and capped at $5 million in total claims each year. NO senate floor vote.

HB2026 (2025) Archer/Haste – RENAMES the Oklahoma Aircraft Engine Testing Development Grant Program to the Oklahoma Aircraft and Rocket Engine Testing Development GRANT PROGRAM. (an EXISTING GRANT program). NO senate aeronautics committee vote.

Bottom line – this giving away money to PRIVATE BUSINESSES has to stop. Period. I don’t care if you’re a Republican or Democrat, tax incentives are NOT A PROPER FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT.

If you’re a REPUBLICAN, however, and you’ve had anything to do with business incentivizing tax credits, you need to change your political affiliation. The Republican platform includes planks on our belief in the Free Enterprise system (which can’t exist side-by-side with tax credits for businesses of any kind) and our belief in SMALLER GOVERNMENT, which will never happen when new employees have to be hired to maintain and care for another system of tax dollar giveaways. Sadly, note that the same legislators appear to be running tax credit legislation and they are nearly all Republicans.

Please, PLEASE, share this information with anyone you know and ask them to contact their Senator and Representative (at the Oklahoma Capitol – you can find yours here) and tell them that – if they want YOUR vote – they need to stop authoring and/or voting for tax incentives for businesses of any kind. We’ll never be able to lower income tax rates or try to divorce ourselves of property taxes if the government keeps stealing from us to fund pet business projects. Period.

REAL ID – A liberty-destroying relic of the War on Terror

April 11th, the Department of Homeland Security released a short clip of its Trump-appointed head, Kristi Noem, commanding that all Americans must obtain a REAL ID before May 7th, in order to board domestic flights and enter federal buildings. These national ID cards, in her words, “prevent fraud and enhance security. Please do your part to protect our country.” To hear Noem speak like this, utilizing the mummified vernacular of Bush-era neoconservatives, two decades after the REAL ID Act was first passed, brings back a hideous nostalgia. How is anyone still taking this seriously?

REAL ID was passed into law in 2005 amid the hysteria of the War on Terror, a hysteria we’ve long ago emerged from. Despite this, DHS and the TSA are still hellbent on forcing a national ID card upon us. Why? Surely not to “prevent fraud and enhance security”. We’ve done just fine the past twenty years, so why do we need it now? The answer is we don’t. But they, our federal government do. They want all our information compiled in one tidy bundle, linking all state driver’s licenses together in one big database, for their ease in accessing all of our information immediately.

In response to Noem’s announcement and the coming deadline, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie posted on X:

“Real ID isn’t needed and won’t stop terrorists from hijacking planes. Most of the 9/11 hijackers held Saudi, UAE, Egyptian, or Lebanese passports. Real ID is a national standard and database of IDs that is primarily a tool for control of Americans. Trump shouldn’t enforce it.”

Resistance against REAL ID has been surprisingly vigorous over the past two decades. At one time, 25 states rejected the notion of a mandatory federal ID card, and announced their noncompliance. 15 states had laws on the books prohibiting compliance with the REAL ID Act. But as the years went on, non-compliant states began to lift their ban on REAL ID, including Oklahoma in 2017. It’s mind-boggling that agencies that should have been abolished years ago are bloated and thriving to this day, and wielding a vulgar and unchecked amount of power over the rights and privacy of American citizens.

Noem’s ridiculous announcement that the Trump administration would begin enforcing the REAL ID Act is very alarming. Is Trump’s “Golden Age” ushering in a return of domestic authoritarianism? The DHS and the TSA were products of War on Terror hysteria, and have long outstayed their welcome. The TSA famously has never captured a single terrorist, but has succeeded tremendously in humiliating travelers with strip-searches, while stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in items from luggage from the moment of creation. A quick Google search produces endless news articles of TSA agents pilfering anything and everything from unwitting fliers. If you’re a frequent flier, you know first-hand that the TSA agents aren’t exactly the best and brightest among society. More often than not, they look and behave like thugs, drunk on the power trip they receive from barking commands all day. Despite this, the TSA is now acting as the DHS’ muscle, enforcing REAL ID at our airport gates for domestic flights.

Most Americans have no idea the scope of danger inherent in REAL ID, hence their nonchalant attitude. “Compliance” could mean anything, depending on the year, the political temperature, or whether or not we’ve found ourselves in another national emergency. Personal records required for a REAL ID could, in the future, contain information on gun ownership, vaccination and medical records, employment, wealth, and all manner of biometrics. The list of requirements for compliance will grow steadily each year. Just watch. The list of “checkpoints” throughout the country will only grow. For now, it’s federal buildings and airports. In the near future, it could (and probably will) be the doctor’s office, your job, your children’s school. If we awake to find ourselves in the midst of another pandemic panic, what will DHS do with its power over our ID cards? It doesn’t take much imagination to see that we’d exist at the mercy of the federal government at the merest hint of a national crisis.

REAL ID means the federal government has us by the throat. Failure to comply means a revocation of your Big Brother hall pass that you previously used to navigate Uncle Sam’s panopticon. You will no longer exist as a functioning member of society. In this sense, REAL ID makes an American social credit system much more a possibility than before. A central bank digital currency moves much closer to reality as well. The type of control that the federal government is striving for can’t have the loopholes or exit ramps that the cash economy provides.

Trump’s victory has lulled many conservatives into indifference over privacy-obliterating legislation like REAL ID. If Biden had been re-elected, their tune might be different, but because their team is in control, there’s no need to worry. Let’s hope that conservatives reawaken to these very real issues of privacy and freedom before its too late.

Ask yourself: does our government care more about protecting us, or controlling us? This is rhetorical. The sole reason for the REAL ID is to enhance our government’s ability to monitor and compel obedience from every American citizen. REAL ID makes us less safe, because it dramatically diminishes our freedom, exposing us to the whims and insane ideologies of anyone who gains power in the future. The Constitution exists to prevent this sort of thing, do you think Kristi Noem’s heard of it?

Below are the bills which would affect homeschooling families in one way or another. The RED are not supported by home educators and the GREEN are supported by those who educate their children at home without government assistance. This list was compiled by homeschool educator Robert Scott.

A Joint Resolution directing the Secretary of State to refer to the people for their approval or rejection a proposed amendment to Section 4 of Article XIII of the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma; stating certain parental and legal guardian rights; limiting certain school regulations; providing ballot title; and directing filing.

Michael And Jenni Talk, Public Education and Green Energy

Friday (1.17.25), Michael and I had a guest slated to appear for our podcast that wasn’t able to come on. Consequently, we did what all good LIVE podcasters do – we scrambled!

Fortunately – and unfortunately – there’s never really a lack of anything to talk about in Oklahoma politics, so we began by discussing our previous podcast with Senator Kendal Sacchieri. If you haven’t seen that yet, I highly recommend it. It created the MOST IMPORTANT 7 MINUTE VIDEO YOU’LL EVER SEE. The Senator is absolutely invaluable when it comes to explaining complicated things like property tax – which she did amazingly well.

At any rate, we replayed the 7 minute video and had Kendal on for a few minutes to clarify a few things and then we moved on to talking about education.

It was during this segment that Michael said the following about the teachers he talked to when he was running for school board. Suffice it to say, his comments were extremely distressing to a former teacher like me who LOVED the autonomy of my classroom.

We had heard this about teachers during the Common Core years. It’s astounding and, frankly, horrifying that we let this continue.

Next stop, AI teachers with your kids plugged into Skynet all day. Don’t scoff or laugh. We’re so close to there.

After that, we discussed the green agenda.

It’s my contention that people have no idea what nature is anymore and therefore don’t even really know what’s good for it or not, what it looks like raw and wild, or how to appreciate it in that state. Hint: A park is a tiny microcosm of nature that is usually trimmed and watered and fertilized – it’s not really nature. We’ve gotten so plugged into the web and so unplugged from outside, we don’t understand that our idea of what’s green and what’s not, is super skewed.

I talked about an article I wrote for the Federalist several years ago, “How Living In Chaos Makes It Impossible For Us To Run Our Lives And Government“. In the article, I wrote about our family’s move to our farm and how weird it was for all of us to leave the city. I advanced my thesis about nature by way of three paragraphs from the forward – written by one of his sons – to one of my favorite books, “Witness“, by Whitaker Chambers. It’s a very long book, but WELL worth the time it took to get through it.

As I say on the podcast frequently, I read, via earbuds and a subscription to Audible because I have so many chores in the growing season that it’s the only way I can actually “read” written material! Sometimes, when the book is very good, I buy it and add it to my ever-expanding research library – the one I hope my children fight over when I’m gone!

I read these three paragraphs on the podcast as we were talking about the green agenda. I feel them so deeply, I actually got choked up, so if you want to see me cry on the podcast, definitely check out the full live version on YouTube or Rumble! Please, read these paragraphs and tuck them in your heart. We’re having our humanity stolen from us daily, certainly don’t give it up voluntarily.

Medical Townhall Canceled By Gordon Cooper Technology Center And YouTube Removes Video

One would think the COVID nightmare had ended, but in fact, it has not.

Mic Rosado (aka Mic Meow) and I recorded a short video about the Medical Townhalls she is creating – with whom and why – last Wednesday, 12.18.24.

It was a great conversation. Mic is a real bulldog for patient’s rights an is bound and determined to make the federal government and hospitals pay for their treatment of COVID patients during the plandemic.

She is working with the FormerFedsGroup Freedom Foundation. You should check out their website to see what they do, but they are working with local activists to force transparency and correction of the COVID treatment protocol.

In the clip below, Mic talks about being thrown out of the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee the day of her Townhall – because her program might create community unrest. Seriously?

If that wasn’t enough, YouTube took down our video because it violated their ‘Community Standards’. Today! How long are these elitist tyrants going to keep this veil of silence over the COVID truths – especially that now even the lamestream media has come to admit that the vaccines were a mistake?

Liberty, Or A Surveillance State – ALPR Use In Oklahoma Is Inconsistent With Individual Liberty

Tuesday morning (10.8.24), the State Powers Committee held an interim study by Representative Tom Gann on the use of Automated License Plate Readers in Oklahoma, titled, “Track and Tax, Surveillance Cameras and Warrantless Searches“.

It was a really great study and brought out some very important issues that I think so many of us just going about our day, don’t really think about. Thanks to Representative Gann and the State Powers Committee for hearing the study.

Wednesday morning (10.9.24) for our regular podcast, our beloved regular guest Julianne Romanello – who was supposed to educate us about Carbon Credits – was unable to be on. Unfortunately, she ended up with sick kiddos and was unable to both be on the podcast and help sick kids at the same time! We hope everything gets back to normal for her soon – and don’t worry, we’ll have her BACK on to cover the topic next month!

Without a guest, Michael and I and our friend Whitney Mullica from PikeOffOTA, spent our time discussing the Interim Study on ALPRs.

According to the interim study, ALPR cameras were ONLY to be used to determine who was and wasn’t complying with Oklahoma’s compulsory insurance law. Below, we discuss that topic. So why are we all so fired up about this interim study and ALPRs? The video below contains the answer. Would you want to be a party to this traffic stop? How do you think the cop acted? Would you be nervous or scared in this situation? Wouldn’t you wonder how – AND WHY – this policeman had so much information about your travels?

After watching the interim study all of us were troubled, but it was after watching the chest cam video of a traffic stop that all of us became exceptionally troubled about ALPRs.

My House Representative is John George. Representative George has a degree in criminal justice and was the long-time President of the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police.

Now, I will say this again – I am not a ‘cop hater’, I loved working with our police department when I was Mayor in Luther (OK) – however, for many years, I’ve watched policeman go from being the kind, but steely-hearted men and women willing to throw down their lives for their community, to people who are gruff or authoritarian when I encounter them. I understand that the police have had a very rough time in the PR realm in the last number of years, but someone whose job it is to ‘protect and serve’ individuals in their communities shouldn’t tend toward authoritarian, as the policeman in the video above.

I’ve also seen police departments militarize themselves by purchasing armor-plated vehicles and now, in Tulsa, robot dogs. Why? Are MOST of the people they stop horrible people just looking to give them trouble? I, of course, don’t know the answer to that, not being a beat cop, but I expect we haven’t crossed that threshold yet.

When I contacted Representative George about this issue, we had a cordial conversation. He is willing to put safeguards on the software that backs up ALPRs because he believes we don’t have any right now and we need to. However, when I asked him why we had a compulsory insurance law in the first place, his fall-back was the ‘public safety’ catch all – he didn’t really have an answer. He also believed that ALPRs are absolute necessity to find missing children, or catch murderers and other bad guys. I asked him why the police couldn’t use traditional methods for this and his answer was because with the new technology we don’t have to. I told him I disagreed with that perspective thoroughly and we ended the conversation agreeing to disagree, however, as the citizen who elected him to represent me, I don’t want the state using these things at all because there are way too many ways for their misuse.

So, let’s review – Oklahomans can buy insurance for their cars if they are financially able (I’m not going to explain socialism here, but if you blanch at that statement, please do a thorough bit of research into the topic) and if they so desire. Lots of insurance companies provide that service. Individuals can also buy insurance against an uninsured motorist. Why, then, must the state force citizens to do such a thing? If we didn’t have the compulsory insurance law, we wouldn’t have the ALPRs reading license plates in the first place. And therein the slippery slope that every legislator seems to hate for you to bring to their attention. We allowed state use of ALPRs and now the ALPR software is able to track our every movement. Bad. Deal.

But let’s continue, why do we all have to get a REAL ID? Don’t we already virtually have that with our driver’s licenses which now use facial recognition and a thumb print? Is that really necessary? If so, why? The answer, ‘public safety’, means exactly what? Whatever the person using it wants it to mean to get what they feel like is important to a concept of ‘safety’ which is not at all well drawn – we saw that in full splendor during COVID.

This quote was thrown out in the podcast, but I’ll leave it here as well. As Benjamin Franklin said so famously, but is so unheeded by both those who like being mommied and those who like being authoritarians, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” So note, when we choose not to parent ourselves – BIG BROTHER will do it for us, and if we choose not to fight for our privacy – BIG BROTHER will take it from us.
